SPIN GROUPS
Special Interest Groups
In order to increase value to members we have established a range of Special Interest (SPIN) Groups, designed to reflect the professional and technical interests of the membership. Group details are as follows:
- Each group will have a single co-ordinator and this person will provide the group with leadership, energy and a single point of contact. Groups are free to decide for themselves their Statement of Purpose (SoP) and their activities. The co-ordinator will be chosen by the group members every 12 months.
- If group co-ordinators wish to add details of activities to this website then please email Richard at admin@instituteoffellows.net and he will post them onto the noticeboard.
- Each group can decide what they do and how they do it. They can meet up, use Skype, hold conference calls or have email discussions. It's up to the group to decide. Members can, for example, share theories, discuss case studies, review books, help eachother, suggest new tools and develop new ways of working.
- People are free to suggest new groups to the Panel of Moderators, who will consider their inclusion in the IoF. Ideally all groups will need to have a minimum of 5 active members to remain viable.
- IoF members are free to join as many groups as they wish, as long as they participate in each group they are members of.
- Groups may be formed for any common interest that is relevant to the IoF membership and which promotes networking, support and continuous development.
- Dormant groups who have been inactive for 12 months will be removed from the list.
